MOSCOW, May 19. /TASS/. Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) could become a driving force behind the growth of non-commodity and non-energy exports, thereby contributing to Russia’s technological sovereignty, Russian Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin said.
"The foundation that we already have allows us to view the SME sector, through 2030, as a tool for achieving several national objectives set forth by the Russian President in the May executive order. In particular, the sector could drive forward such areas as the expansion of non-commodity and non-energy exports, the advancement of technological sovereignty, the growth of the tourism industry, and the development of creative industries," the Prime Minister said.
"We will continue developing SME support infrastructure across the Russian regions. In particular, we will allocate 1.5 bln rubles to further encourage small and medium-sized enterprises to expand into international markets," Mishustin emphasized.
